Interim Marketing Manager for B2C brands and B2B companies

I join your company for a fixed period and take over marketing when the head of marketing role is vacant, a hiring process is under way or the company is going through change. I work with B2C brands and B2B companies in industries such as health, education, automotive, B2B services and subscriptions.

I start with an audit and quick wins. I review campaigns, the funnel and your marketing and sales processes, and then implement what will improve results fastest. I run strategy and campaigns myself, and for creative, SEO, more complex analytics or IT I have trusted partners whose work I take responsibility for.

  • An audit with a list of quick wins in the first month
  • An assessment of the team and agencies, role changes and hiring for missing roles
  • Continuity of campaigns and budgets, and a handover to my successor at the end

What I'm responsible for as an interim marketing manager

    Audit and quick wins

    • An audit of campaigns, the funnel and marketing and sales processes, including lead handling
    • Quick wins in campaigns, on landing pages and in how leads are handled
    • A plan for the coming months with KPIs and a budget

    Campaigns and analytics

    • I run campaigns in Google, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok myself, so nothing stops during the transition
    • I set up analytics (GA4, Google Tag Manager) and dashboards myself at a basic level, and hand more complex implementations to partners
    • I keep an eye on budgets, deadlines and the decisions on the company's side

    Team, roles and hiring

    • I assess the team and agencies, and propose changes in scope or a reshuffle of roles
    • I hire for missing roles, from the job description to onboarding
    • I coordinate partners, take responsibility for their work and hand the role over to my successor with documented processes

When does an interim marketing manager make sense?

I usually join a company in one of these situations. If you run an online store, see Interim E-commerce Manager.

Your head of marketing is leaving

Hiring will take months, and marketing can't stop. I start right away and take over the team, agencies and budget.

    Results have stalled

Campaigns are running and leads keep coming, but sales don't grow. I start with an audit, look for quick wins in campaigns and lead handling, and implement them in the first weeks.

    The team needs changes

You have people and agencies, but you're not sure it's the right setup. I assess the team and the split of responsibilities, propose changes or a reshuffle of roles, and hire for missing roles.

You want to test before you hire full-time

You're not sure an extra person will pay off. I test it in practice and help you write the job description and hire a successor.

    Funding round, investor or exit

Investors and buyers will ask about customer acquisition cost and repeatable results, and after the round they'll ask about growth every month. I put KPIs and reporting in order, and then help deliver the plan.

You're building a marketing team from scratch

The company is self-funded and needs a marketing team for the first time. I build it step by step, so that costs grow together with revenue.

How much does an interim marketing manager cost?

Interim is a fixed-term role. Prices exclude VAT, and you get the exact amount and a plan for the first weeks after a free consultation.

    Interim Growth
    from €3,500

    per month, excl. VAT

When you have a team or agencies, but nobody to lead them and own the result.

    • Audit and quick wins in the first month
    • I run the most important campaigns myself
    • Team assessment and oversight of partners
    • A monthly report for leadership, weekly meetings
    Interim Strategy
    from €6,000

    per month, excl. VAT

The full head of marketing role for the length of the contract, when marketing needs to be rebuilt or prepared for the next stage.

    • Everything in Interim Growth
    • Marketing strategy, budget and KPIs
    • Changes in the team and roles, plus hiring
    • More days a week with your company and a handover to my successor

The amount depends on how many days a week I work for your company and how long the contract lasts, e.g. 6 months. You pay each month in advance, on a B2B contract with an invoice in EUR. You pay the ad budget directly to the platforms, and I sign an NDA at the quote stage.

    About me

    Jędrzej Zarychta, Fractional CMO
    12+years of experience
    150+projects
    delivered

I’m Jędrzej Zarychta, and for more than 12 years I’ve worked where marketing, business and technology meet. At the KERRIS agency I built the digital marketing department from scratch and ran it, responsible for client budgets, the department’s results and the team. At Hemp Juice I went from external advisor to co-owner, and then to selling 100% of the shares to a Swedish corporation.

As a Fractional CMO, Interim Growth Manager and Interim E-commerce Manager I’ve worked with companies including Holi Health, Tutlo, Natu.Care, heycar Group and ESTYL.pl. I studied e-business at SGH Warsaw School of Economics, and management and sociology at Kozminski University.

I keep learning, with CXL courses and Google’s Internetowe Rewolucje program behind me. I use AI fluently to improve work and processes, and I also know when it’s better not to.

    How I work

    • I’m your single point of contact and take responsibility for the whole project, including the partners’ work
    • I advise, and when needed, I advise against
    • I base decisions on numbers: CAC, ROAS, LTV and margin
    • I work remotely with clients across Europe and the US, and on-site or hybrid in Warsaw (CET), in English or Polish
    • Invoices in EUR (reverse-charge VAT for EU companies), a simple B2B contract in English, NDA at the quote stage

    What clients say

In just a few months we saw a steady flow of B2B sales leads

Working with Jędrzej on B2B marketing translated into a strong flow of sales leads within just a few months. Jędrzej not only developed the right marketing strategy, but also connected it with our sales strategy and then launched ad campaigns in Google, Meta and LinkedIn Ads. At GRANTS.CAPITAL we were looking for a Head of Marketing, but working part-time with Jędrzej has been far more effective than many full-time hires or agencies we have worked with.

Jędrzej is an excellent fit for anyone looking for someone who combines strategic thinking and willingness to execute fast

I worked with Jędrzej on Holi from the very beginning and he helped us tremendously to gain early traction and understand what need to be done in the Growth area. Jędrzej is very knowledgeable in his field, but was always willing to expand his knowledge in our domain to get the job done. He's an excellent fit for anyone looking for someone who combines strategic thinking and planning with the ability and willingness to execute fast.

Jędrzej is a top-class expert in digital marketing and marketing strategy

We worked on a long-term, complex B2B performance campaign where, on the agency side, he helped us choose the most effective solutions for our industry and hit our goals and demanding KPIs, with full commitment and the highest professionalism. 😉 The marketing activities and solutions he proposed were always carefully thought through, matched to our business, properly quantified and then delivered on time. As a result, making decisions and assessing the results of our cooperation was much easier and truly satisfying.

Interim marketing manager: frequently asked questions

    Working together

What is an interim marketing manager?

A manager hired for a fixed period who takes responsibility for the company's marketing: during a hiring process, an organizational change or while testing new assumptions. I describe online stores separately, on the Interim E-commerce Manager page.

Can you act as our interim head of marketing?

Yes. Interim marketing manager, interim head of marketing or acting marketing director are in practice the same role: I take responsibility for the company's marketing during a hiring process or a period of change.

    Where do you start?

With an audit of campaigns, the funnel, processes and the team. In the first weeks I implement quick wins, and then I prepare a plan for the following months, with KPIs and a budget.

    How long is the contract?

We agree the period upfront, e.g. 6 months, and adjust it to your actual needs as we go.

    Do you work on-site?

I work remotely with teams across Europe and the US, and on-site or hybrid in Warsaw (CET), in English or Polish. I also step in at Polish subsidiaries of international companies. We agree how we'll work at the start.

Do you take over the team and agencies?

Yes. First I assess the team and your agencies, then I propose changes in scope or a reshuffle of roles. I coordinate people and partners and hold them accountable for results.

Do you help hire a successor?

Yes. I help with hiring and performance reviews, and on large projects also with agency pitches. At the end I onboard the new person and hand the role over.

    Pricing and contract

Interim marketing manager or fractional CMO?

Interim is a fixed-term role in which I run marketing from the inside and prepare it for the handover. Fractional CMO is ongoing work with no end date, focused on marketing strategy and results.

How much does an interim marketing manager cost?

I price interim work monthly, in two options: Interim Growth from €3,500 and Interim Strategy from €6,000 per month, excl. VAT. The amount depends on the number of days a week and the length of the contract. I give you an exact quote after a free consultation.

Is the ad budget included in the price?

No. You pay the ad budget directly to the platforms, e.g. Google, Meta or LinkedIn. I only invoice my own work.

    How does billing work?

You pay each month in advance, on a B2B contract in English with an invoice in EUR. EU companies get a reverse-charge VAT invoice.

    Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, already at the quote stage.

    Still not sure?

    My business grows through referrals

Your satisfaction is the foundation of my business. Thank you for every referral!

    Working with me is simple

I'm easy to reach and easy to work with: a simple B2B contract and invoices in EUR.

    I implement, not just advise

I run strategy and campaigns myself, and handle the rest with trusted partners I take responsibility for. My hands-on work is backed by education and certifications:
